End of the Year Review in Middle School Spanish

Spanish 1 Review Stations for Middle School Part 1

At this point in the school year, my middle school students are DONE. 😅

The closer we get to summer break, the more I find my middle school students need even MORE opportunities to move, talk, interact, and work collaboratively in order to stay engaged during review activities.

One thing I’ve really been focusing on lately is refreshing many of my older Middle School Señora resources and rebuilding them into activities that better reflect how I actually teach now and what works best for my students.

This school year especially, I found myself wanting activities that were:

  • more interactive
  • more movement based
  • more communication focused
  • easier to implement
  • and honestly… more engaging for middle school students

That’s what led me to create:

Spanish 1 Review Stations for Middle School Part 1

I teach Spanish 1 over two years in middle school, so this resource focuses on many of the foundational topics my students typically learn during the first part of Spanish 1:

  • greetings and introductions
  • gustar and activities
  • descriptions
  • school schedule and time
  • classroom vocabulary
  • food and healthy habits
  • invitations
  • free time activities

Each station includes:
✔ a visual task
✔ a speaking task
✔ a writing task
✔ a movement/partner task

I wanted students reviewing Spanish while also moving around the classroom, interacting with classmates, and actually USING the language instead of passively completing review work at the end of the year.

One of the things I really like about this resource is how flexible it is. You can:

  • use it at the end of the school year
  • use it again at the beginning of the following year as a refresher
  • combine it later with Part 2, which I am currently creating

The possibilities are honestly endless and that was very intentional when I designed it.

I can also see myself pulling individual stations during the school year when reviewing specific topics instead of only using the full set all at once. I really wanted this to be a resource teachers could continue using throughout the year and not just during one review week.

The resource includes:
✔ printable PDF
✔ Google Slides version
✔ answer keys
✔ teacher guide
✔ student recording sheet

I’m also sharing one FREE station if you’d like to try it with your students before purchasing the full resource:

Over the summer I plan to continue refreshing older resources and creating new middle school Spanish materials that better reflect the type of activities I want to use in my own classroom now. I’m excited to continue building Part 2 and expanding these review stations into a complete Spanish 1 review series for middle school.

Hasta la próxima!
